Apart from reporting about the school enrolments, reading and arithmetic abilities along with other important facts, the report also covered Mother’s and Father’s education levels for the years 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024. The Mother’s level of education from the year 2026 to 2024 has improved. The percentage of mothers without schooling dipped from 47 to 29. The mothers with education level of Above Standard X improved from 9% to 20%.

The Father’s education level has also improved. The percentage of fathers without any formal schooling has reduced to 18 from 27. The fathers with education qualification Above Standard X improved from 17% to 25%.

The education level of mothers and fathers of school-going children in rural India is improving over time. The child spends a considerable time at home and parents influence many decisions related to the child’s education. In all, the report indicates a move towards more literacy in rural India.
